    I can report that the FLRUFC attended the Cockermouth Girls Rugby Union Festival on Sunday 29th June. The girls are from a number of local Secondary Schools and considering they only started training a year ago have shown remarkable progress. Their dedication has resulted in their superb success at the Cockermouth event as we submitted two teams, U15 and U18, in the competition. The FLRUFC U18 played magnificent rugby only to lose one match all day, unfortunately this was the final when they cam up against a very strong Keswick outfit. The FLRUFC U15 went one better and won the U15 trophy being unbeaten throughout a tense tournament that featured teams from around the county.
